Summer Wars

So far the games at the grandparents' houses have revolved around Nerf gun and water gun wars. Charlie is having a ball!

Num Nums & Mia

Mia has wanted a GoGo Pet for months and months and was so excited that Aunty Sue got her one for Xmas. Aunty Tammy is ready to give it some rodent poison though after hearing it chirp, sneeze, talk, etc all day long!

Family tradition in our house - Holiday Bingo. Not entirely loved by the older members of the family but entirely and absolutely adored by the kiddies.

A Ride on Puffing Billy

Simon and Charlie went for a ride on the vintage steam train in the mountains near where we live. It is called Puffing Billy...and I have pictures of me on it when I was the same age.

Mia's Birthday Pavlova

Today was the last day of school before the Christmas break and it is our last school for 6 weeks.

Mia's birthday is next Tuesday, so today we took in some pavlova for Mia's birthday. Some kids wouldn't try it...but then after refusing it, tried a little and loved it. I think some of the boys refused to try it because it was served on heart shaped princess plates! Mia saved some for Mr Potter, the Aussie PE teacher who all the little girls are in love with :)

We are so lucky to have the kids in a great school, with terrific teachers and really good/nice friends for the kids (and the mums). I already get a little sad to think about when we will leave in 2011 and we aren't even halfway through our posting yet!
